The battery health check: the one thing you must do before buying
A used petrol car with high mileage still works as a car — it might be slower to accelerate, but it drives. A used EV with significant battery degradation has materially less range than advertised, and that gap between stated range and real-world range is invisible without testing. A car sold as "300km WLTP" with 20% battery degradation delivers around 200km in real-world Irish conditions. At motorway speeds in winter, that number drops further.
