De Energy Hub turns a farm's spare solar generation into a managed, bookable charging service, for contractors passing through, your own farm vehicles, and agri-tourism guests. You set the export protection. The app handles the rest.
On-site generation, already installed
Solar first, grid tops up, export capped as you choose
Contractors, farm fleet & guests, all tracked separately
Most farm traffic doesn't need electricity at all. It just needs somewhere to park for an hour. De Energy Hub keeps the two jobs apart: book the Parking Hub when it's only space you're managing, the Charging Hub when it's power, or both together for the times a visit genuinely needs each.
Bookable parking space: no charger required
Bookable EV charging: the focus of the rest of this page
Whether you can export surplus solar depends on how your panels were funded. Privately-funded systems can typically sell surplus back under the Clean Export Guarantee. Panels installed under the TAMS grant must have their output consumed on the farm: export isn't permitted under that scheme. Either way, an EV charger pulling full power at the wrong moment competes with power you'd otherwise be using or exporting.
De Energy Hub gives you two controls most chargers don't: an energy mode and a kW output cap, both adjustable per session type. Run in Pure Energy mode for 100% solar only, Smart Energy to draw from solar first and top up from the grid only when needed, or cap the charger's output altogether (say at 50%) to keep a minimum amount available for your own use or export.
Every session is logged by who used it and why, so nothing gets mixed up at the end of the month.
Pre-booked by you before they arrive on site. They get a notification, scan the QR code on arrival, check in via the app, and connect, with no need for you to be there or hand over a key.
Pre-booked · Free or billedElectric vans, utility vehicles or machinery charge whenever needed with no booking friction, and your own vehicles are never blocked by outside users.
Unrestricted accessFarm-stay visitors, glamping guests, or farm shop customers book and pay per kWh through the app, a natural extension of any diversification activity already on site.
☀️ Pure Energy badge availableThe same charger, used differently every day, tracked automatically each time.
You booked the slot last week when they confirmed the job. They arrive, scan the QR code and check in via the app, and charge their van while they work, with no interruption to your day.
Running on Smart Energy mode, it draws mostly from solar stored during the day and only pulls grid power once the battery gets low overnight.
They scan the QR code at the car park charger, check in via the app to book, and pay per kWh while they browse. You see the session and revenue appear in your dashboard later that day.
A promo code issued at check-in gives them free access for the length of their booking, tracked the same as everything else, at no extra admin.
Many farms produce more solar power than the farmhouse or yard uses on a given day. Listing your charger turns that spare capacity into a revenue line, alongside farm shops, glamping, or open days, not instead of them.
De Energy Hub runs over standard mobile data or Wi-Fi, just like any other app on your phone. There's no dedicated rural connectivity kit to install, no cabling run, and nothing new for a contractor or guest to figure out, they scan a QR code the same way anywhere else in the country.
